- H. C. Andersen Marathon is subject to the IAAF Competition Regulations. The course is measured in accordance with DAF-IAAF and approved by A.I.M.S.
- Participants must be 18 years of age or have their 18th birthday within the calendar year of the race.

Coaching on bicycle along the course is not allowed and will result in immediate disqualification.

Starting numbers are personal and cannot be handed over to anyone else! The number must be clearly visible on the chest and worn in unchanged form.

The classes are divided into intervals of 5 years: m/f 18/19, m/f 20/25, m/f 25 and so on up to m/f 70 and over.

All duly entered competitors completing within the six-hour timeframe receive a medal and a certificate confirming their time, breaks and placing.

Car traffic will be possible on the course again after the termination fo the timeframe of the race.
- Timeframe for the marathon race is 6 hours. This also means that the ½ maraton must be finished in 2 hours and 45 minuttes. If the timeframe cannot be held the runner is taken out of the race. Max. time is marked by to bicycle riders wearing red vest tops.
- Entry is possible online or on the original entry form. Payment must follw the entry and entries without payment will not be accepted.
- If a participant is prevented from participating, they cannot claim their refund no matter the cause of the prevention
- If a participant is prevented from participating the start number can be transfered to nex year of the transfer is made 7 days before the start of the race.
- Participation is at your own risk. By your signature on your entry or accept upon online entry you declare yourself to be fit and healthy and accept that the event managers cannot be held responsible for damages you sustain yourself or others in connection with the race.
Statement In consideration of the foregoing, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns, waive and release any and all right, claims and causes of action I have or may have against the H.C. Andersen Marathon and its affiliates, their agents, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns, the organiser, City of Odense and any and all sponsor, their representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my participation in the race and any pre- and postrace activities.
